Our Rates and Policies

Here are our current/promotional rates for our services:

$25/tape for the first 4 tapes, and $20/tape thereafter, regardless of the type of tape (i.e. you can mix and match VHS with Video8, etc) being worked with.

—Options for receiving your digitized media include a USB Thumb Drive or Video DVD for an additional fee. You can provide blank media of your own for use to use or we can supply you with some for an additional fee as listed below:

USB Thumb Drive: $10
Video DVD: $15

USB Thumb Drives are recommended with the raw video files for ease of use/for video editing later, but if all you need is an easy way to share and relive moments from your family’s past, a Video DVD can be created instead. Video DVDs can play on computers, DVD players, BluRay players, and may other devices that can playback disc-based video.

—A flat $10 processing and labor fee will be applied to each transaction.

Here are our current policies regarding any tapes that come through our office:

We ask that you make sure to store your tapes you want digitized in a dry environment/climate so as to minimize any damage done to them over time. We will not charge you for any tape that does not output a picture, however our mission here at Video Transfer Guru is to preserve as many of your memories as possible. Damaged tapes make us sad, and produce non-useful footage for you. Also if possible please pre-screen any tape you want digitized by an expert here at Video Transfer Guru prior to getting them to us, so as to maximize your chances of getting as many memories as possible preserved into digital format.
